Reconditioning a home lift typically involves several steps, including:
Refurbished Home Lifts allow you to experience the advantages of a new lift without the hefty price tag. A reconditioned or refurbished home lift enhances your mobility and provides the freedom to effortlessly move between floors with just a push of a button. Whether you’re transporting yourself, bulky items, laundry, or suitcases, our pre-owned home lifts make it easier and safer than using stairs. This feature is particularly beneficial for homes accommodating elderly family members or wheelchair users, allowing them to enjoy complete independence and access to all areas of their home whenever they wish.
New home lifts have such high quality that they can often be refurbished. This chance is rare, making it a limited supply. Nonetheless, Only Lifts North is dedicated to providing lifts that can be reused instead of being discarded. When one of our lifts reaches a point where it is no longer economically viable, almost 95% of its materials can be recycled.
At Only Lifts North, we’re here to make life a little easier. Whether you’re looking to improve access for a loved one with mobility challenges, create a wheelchair-friendly home, or simply future-proof your property, installing a home lift is a brilliant step towards added comfort and convenience. When it comes to reconditioned Home Lifts, Only Lifts North operates in Northern England. Specifically in Yorkshire and surrounding areas such as Hull, York and Leeds.

The timeframe for installing a Home Lift largely depends on the type of lift you want. Installing a traditional hydraulic home lift, for example, can take anyway from 2 – 5 days depending on the model due to the machinery required to power the lift. On the other hand, a Stiltz home lift takes only 1 – 2 days to install because of its minimal installation requirements. The noise level of Home Lifts depends on the drive system you choose and where the drive mechanism is located. Some designs are quieter without any ‘extra effort’ however, even those with a slightly louder drive mechanism can be quietened to the same level using our clever design techniques and the use of acoustic jackets and sound-dampening technology. Overall our home lifts are much quieter than many other domestic machines such as dishwashers, washing machines etc. Also, bear in mind they only run for a few seconds during use.
Yes, modern home lifts are very safe. When properly installed by a factory-trained engineer — and with the required safety measures in place — home lifts provide a high level of safety. While it’s not impossible to be stuck in a lift, there are design features to overcome the issue — such as backup power for automatic lowering, manual override controls and an integrated communication device.
