Unique Rail Structure

Stiltz Home lift travels on self-supporting stilts thanks to parallel and vertical guides which eliminate need for load bearing walls.

Small footprint

The Stiltz Home Lift has one of the smallest footprints of any domestic lift in the UK and covers less than a square metre.

Self Contained Drive System

Stiltz Home Lifts are powered by an electric motor which is neatly situated, hidden from view, at top of home lift.

Stiltz use “traction” rope technology coupled with advanced electronic motor control system which makes the lift extremely quiet

Power Consumption

All lifts are plug straight into a normal 13amp power socket making them very green and economical.

Fast Installation

Modular design means lift can fit under most doorways and ceilings and be pieced together fast with a typical install taking less than 2 days.

Stiltz Ltd was founded on September 14, 2010, in Reading, Berkshire, England.

The founders recognized a need in the global home lift market for a compact, self-supporting home automation solution tailored for elderly and disabled individuals who are unable or unwilling to use a stairlift. This insight underscored a growing preference among older adults for aging in place rather than relocating to nursing homes.

Between 2014 and 2017 Stiltz moved into countries such and USA, Germany, New Zealand, The Philippines, India, Kenya and Malaysia. They have continued to grow since then and have recently moved markets which include China, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Ireland and Italy.

Main Features

  • Half height door – This door has an interlocking system and is designed to complement the lift’s finish.
  • Internal LED Downlight – these lights are set to activate when the user enters the lifts and then stay on for the duration of the ride.
  • Interior Telephone – Although it is very unlikely for a Stiltz lift to stop while you are travelling in it, there is a telephone installed in the lift just incase so that you are able to call for help.
  • Standard Finishes – The Duo + as well as the Trio + are both finished in a classic grey
  • Two Remote Controls – These allow for the remote operation of the lift, enabling users to call or send the lift from a distance, as well as facilitate the transportation of heavy or bulky items between floors.
  • Power Cable – The power cable for the lift may be visible however this is dependant on each individual installation
  • One Year warranty – All Stiltz lifts carry a one year parts and labour warranty

Safety Features

  • Hold-to-Run Controls – The operation of a Stiltz Lift involves maintaining continuous pressure on the controls, giving the user the ability to ‘drive’ the lift and maintain complete control throughout the journey.
  • Half Height Light curtain – There is a sensor on the entrance all of the Stiltz lifts, if it detects anything while the lift is moving then it will instantly stop.
  • Top & Bottom Safety pans – The Stiltz lift can detect any obstructions above or below the lift and stop the lift immediately.
  • Emergency Stop Button – This button is front and centre for the user in case of an emergency.
  • Fall Arrest Mechanism – In the unlikely event that the steel ropes go slack, this patented system stops the car from falling
  • Key Switch Operation – this allows the user to isolate the power to the lift if need be. This feature is commonly used when going away on holiday
  • Trap Door– This essential feature seals the aperture in the floor when the lift is positioned downstairs. It is durable enough to support weight, allowing for the installation of your original flooring on top for seamless integration.
  • Weight Limit Sensors – the Duo + can hold up to 150kg (27 st/375lbs) and the Trio + can hold up to 250kg (39 st/375lbs). If the weight limit is exceeded the lift will not travel
  • Battery Backup System – In the event of a power outage during use, the lift can be manually lowered to the ground floor of the home, where it will remain until power is restored, at which point it will return to normal operation.
